Stuck inside

Well, we have had an eventful week.  We had Aunt Dot's funeral, my Mom had a full knee replacement and I spent 2 nights in the hospital with her, and then Jackson had to go to the hospital last night.  You already know about Aunt Dot.  My Mom is on the mend...but to say it was a tough weekend is an understatement.  She is not out of the woods and has a lot of physical therapy coming up, but she is a fighter and will be just fine!  Jackson has had a fever since Monday (103.6), Tuesday it was 104.5 and Bailey had a 100.5 so I just scheduled them both a Dr. appt.  Test all came back negative and they said it was just a fever bug.  Well...at 4am that night he came in our room having hallucinations and asked to get in bed with us.  John lifted him up and immediately he felt how HOT he was.  We took his temp and it was 106.2!!!  So we quickly got him in the tub and then off to the hospital.  He got more test, a shot of antibiotic, and an IV.  All test were negative and came to the same conclusion as Dr, but to be sure we are taking him to the Dr again in the morning on the advice of the hospital.
His introduction to Angry Birds-thanks to Mimi who knows just how to calm him down and make him feel better!  When he got home he told me he "had a Popsicle and it was blue", that he was "very nice and said hello to the Dr." and that he "got to play angry birds!!"  LOL

Poor John, it was a LONG night for everyone, including Mimi and Diddy. Really, we can't say thank you enough to everyone who said prayers, called, texted, and offered up help!

Meanwhile we have spent the last 3 days indoors...and having some fun in between fever peeks :)  Here is our first attempt at a fort-and no before John says this is a lame attempt at one-he was not involved in the construction ;)

We now make a fort ALL the time :)  They love it!!

Oh, and have I ever mentioned how CRAZY Bailey is about hiding and being sneaky???!!?!  She will hide and not utter a SINGLE WORD or even make a sound!  She freaks us out sometimes.  She hides behind doors, in the complete darkness of closets, you name it...she is crazy!! LOLOL  Here is a few pics of me catching her in her hiding places today...

Is that not the cutest little girl ever?!?!?!  Love my babes!

Aunt Dot

Sadly Aunt Dot (actually John's Great-Aunt) passed away last week.  She was like a Grandmother to John & the rest of the kids and a Mother to Janet (John's Mom).  Aunt Dot was one of the coolest people I knew, I hope I am like her when I am 88.  She never acted her age.  Not only was she one of the smartest people I will ever meet, but she had a HUGE sense of humor and was the opposite of prude :)  Holiday's won't be the same without her, that is for sure.  But, like I was telling someone the other day...her funeral was the best one I had ever been to.  It was all because she lived a long & wonderful life and she was just amazing, I could have listened to stories about her forever.  As I am getting choked up, I will just say that I will miss you Aunt Dot and can't wait to hear your laugh again when I get to heaven.

Playdate with Baby Morgan and Stone Mountain

Nicole & Morgan met me and the kids at Northpoint Mall last week.  We had the best time :)  We let the kids play all over the mall, ate at California Pizza, and we even got to shop some!

After our mall trip we headed down to The Spinner's house (Amy's Mom & Dad's) and we let the kids play while we got to catch up and Amy got to meet Morgan :)

Almost smile caught on camera ;)

Bailey with a hat on = standard!

Later that night we even braved the Lazershow at Stone Mountain!  It was chilly and we even had a few rain drops land on us during the show-but it didn't stop us!  The kids were amazing for the time it was, the show doesn't even start until 9:30pm and they did awesome! Jackson & Bailey loved it :)

1st time at Stone Mountain :)

Bailey saw an airplane ;)

Here are both expressions as the show started :)

And of course this is how they looked on the way home :)  Love how Bailey still has her glow stick in her hand and Jackson is wearing his :)  What an awesome night!

Lake Acworth Beach

We spent a lot of days at the very beginning of the summer at Lake Acworth Beach-in Acworth and I finally remembered to bring my camera today.  The kids LOVE it and so do I :)  The kids can swim pretty far out and it's still nice and shallow and the water is great!  The sand is a nice change from just the pool-and they really think we live near the beach ;)
Jackson and Bailey both make a lot of friends :)
Our set up-it's great!  I don't know what I would do without my backpack chair...it has a cooler on the back, cup holder, another compartment on the back top AND it fits the kids chairs inside :)  I have it all down to a science ;)  Can you believe I carry all that you see in the picture while holding their hands?!?! LOL
Bailey and her little friend!  So cute!!
