Catch Air, John's 35th, and Lake Allatoona

Right before school started we met all of Jackson's old classmates up at Catch Air and we had the best time!

 Bailey LOVED the disco that happened once an hour, it was so cute!!

 John celebrated his 35th birthday this week, we couldn't go on our date b/c Jackson had a fever...but we did still have a great time thanks to John! (I might have cried when I read the thermometer b/c I was THAT sad about missing out on our date, but we won't talk about that! HA)

 We took the kids on the boat to Lake Allatoona today and they liked it for the most part. Bailey cried until I gave her a lollipop b/c she wanted her Daddy ;)  Then Jackson was done after only about 30 min until John let him drive (but he wasn't feeling that well, so it was understandable).

This was what Bailey did when I asked her where the sky was ;)  Love her!!!

1st Day of school!!

I can't believe it is already that time again!  Jackson is now in the 3 year old preschool class.  Can't believe he is turning 4 in a month!  Crazy!  He is in the turtle class and we even wore green on orientation day so we would blend in :)  He loves "Mrs. M" and actually has the same teacher's aid from last year "Mrs. R."

And here he is on the first day of school!!!  He is smiling so much b/c he really is THAT excited!!! He absolutely LOVES school-I hope she is as easy as he is about it!  

 This is the lunch box Jackson picked out for school...Darth Vader ;)  He has been waiting and asking for it every since we got it.  He might even be more excited about that lunch box that he was school ;)

 And Bailey Boo will miss him, but she said she didn't today! Ha!  We had a lot of fun together and I think she is going to enjoy having all the attention for a while!

He had a great 1st day at school and even gave me WAY more details than he did last year :)

We are gaining a new sister!!!

John's brother Bud got engaged this weekend!!!!   We couldn't be more excited for Bud and Meghan!!  They have been together since just a little bit before our wedding (almost 8 yrs ago!) and they were only in the 10th grade :)  They made it though Auburn together and they now live/work in Birmingham, AL.

Cara & Tony's Bridal Shower

Our Sunday School class at church through a shower for Cara and Tony (who are in our group).  We are very happy and excited for them :)  The party went great and we were all thankful for Pam and Craig for hosting it at their house!  

Girls dinner and visit to see Grandma & Pop Pop

The kids are obsessed with coloring these days.  I will be doing dishes and Bailey will run over with a coloring book and say, "cu-wer Mama, cu-wer!!"  Same with Jackson, they have been spent a lot of time at the table coloring this summer...and it shows ;)

We went to see Grandma and Pop Pop (he has a new name b/c that is what Bailey has chosen to call him and he is her world when we are visiting!) this week and last week while she is out of work and recovering from her knee replacement.  That picture is only after 3 weeks!  She is doing great!


She basically camps out by his rocking chair the entire time we are there :)

I also went to a "girls dinner" last week.  I'm not sure if I have ever explained our group, but some of us have been together since elementary school and then others since college.  We are still very close, email weekly, and have dinner once a month (sometimes without the kids!).

And here is our WHOLE group even with the kids!  It's not often that every single person can make it, so it was a special night :)  We will all be together again...minus kids...in St. Simons next month for Kristin's wedding, can't wait!!

Avalon, NJ

We made the 2 day drive up to the shore this year to see my side of the family :) The kids did great!  It was a LOOONNNGG drive there and back, but it was worth every minute.  Funny how much changes in 2 years....

GG and GG Dad!!  Bailey REALLLY took to GG Dad and they both had so much fun playing with them.  Grandmom even taught Bailey some new colors!

Most of our family...only missing a few.  My cousin Laura is preggers with Greatgrandchild # 4!!  We are so excited!

"the Godfather" lol   I am lucky that he always comes down for our Ostien parties at the shore, wish we could see Uncle Cal and Aunt Beth more often.

We went to visit my Mom's sister-Aunt Mary and her grandchildren one day too.  We had fun until it rained and then the kids turned into monsters...we can laugh about it now, but it was not funny then! LOL

Jackson has a new obsession and it is called Angry Birds.  And obsession is putting it lightly.  Anytime my cousin Becca saw him he said, "can I play angry birds??" even if she was in her bathing suit on the beach ;)


My Aunt & Uncle had a house on the bay and we went over and hung out in their floats!  They are so good to us :)

This is my newest second cousin (I think that is what he is, he is my cousins baby...not sure of the title) I always feel like he is a nephew ;)  He is too cute for words and I am so glad we finally got to meet him.

This is our view from our beach house, it was just such a wonderful week.  The kids did great for the most part and we just tried to enjoy every moment.
