Hilton Head

We took the kids out of school for a day and went for a long weekend to Hilton Head a few weeks ago.  We had a great time and it was much needed.  We hadn't had a family of 4 (5 with Cooper) trip in quite a while, so it was nice :)  We have also never brought Cooper to the beach and he loved every minute of it :)

Below is Bailey at meet the teacher.  Her teachers are extremely nice and I think she will have a great year :) Academically Bailey is very bright.  She just loves to learn.  She loves flash cards and trying to do everything her big brother does.  It's so nice to not worry about her.  I guess it also just comes with the 2nd child...you know what to expect and its comforting.

She found an Ana dress and it was like gold to her!

 It has been interesting to go to 2 drop-offs.  Luckily both of their car-lines are not too bad.  And of course we had to celebrate with "first day of school ice cream!"...both children remembered without me saying anything. ha.  

John's 37th Birthday

We had a lot of fun for John's birthday.  We all went out to eat and had cake and ice cream back at the house.  It's crazy, I feel like we just celebrated his 30th yesterday.  Time flies. 

Football & Baseball Games

 We got to go to Jackson's first football game at his new school.  He did so well with reading and math this summer that he got to go out on the field and have his name read over the loud speaker.  It was well deserved...I can't tell you how many hours we spent reaching that goal and it was so worth every min.

 John was cringing at the thought of Jackson having to go out on the field, b/c for him that would be more like a punishment than a reward. lol.  Well, good thing that he has a lot of his Mama in him, b/c he enjoyed every moment.  And to think he would even sing at his Christmas assembly just 3 yrs ago! ha! We are sooo very proud Buddy!!

 He had a big cheering section at the game too :) It was a lot of fun! 

 Then the next night we headed off to the Braves game.  It was fun...it would have been a lot more fun if we hadn't been sitting in the drunk section...but thats what you get going to a night game I guess.  We made the best of it and even saw a streaker that night! He got all the way into the outfield...it was nuts! I guess their is a first time for everything ;)

 We also got to see "baby Karyn"...the kids very favorite babysitter and our best friends from our old neighborhoods daughter.  

Jackson's off to Kindergarten

 Time has just gone too fast! Look how much he has changed!!! Where is my baby boy?!?!  He has just become such an awesome little boy.  We couldn't be more proud. I have to say, he gave us a run for his money from ages 2 to when he just turned 4, but he has changed sooo much it's just amazing! After 4 he really turned a corner and became less shy (hence *less, b/c he still is sometimes). 

 These are the new teacher and they seem just wonderful.  He has been loving it everyday.  In fact, tomorrow is his first full day and he was so excited. He said he was sad to have to leave school today...really...that is just fantastic!!!!

 Thumbs up an a great first day and of course we went to celebrate with yogurt after school!

Grandmother's 90th Birthday

Grandmother turned 90 last weekend and some of the Ballard and Kendrick family came to celebrate. I was unfortunately not even at my own house to help host, I had a Braves Game scheduled for a long time with all my high school girls.  Seemed like everyone had a great time :) I hope I get to live to see 90 with my family by my side!
