New Beginnings

We were told over the winter holidays that John's job of 9 years, along with about 550 other jobs on the F-22 at Lockheed would be moving to Fort Worth, TX.  So we had a huge decision to make...to go or stay. I won't go into too much detail, but for our family we made the decision to stay in Georgia.  John got offered a position at L-3 in Alpharetta and after even more debating, he decided to take it.  This has been a rough couple months for our family sitting and waiting and debating the unknown.  It was extremely hard for him to leave Lockheed, the plane he loved so dearly, and all of his friends he had made over the years.  We feel so blessed and I couldn't be more proud of John and all that he has accomplished.  He works extremely hard for our family and I know he can succeed in anything he puts his mind to.

Grass

We planted grass a few weeks ago and we couldn't be happier with the results!!  Our yard had been overtaken by moss and weeds and we now actually have grass!

Mother's Day Tea and last day of school

I have to back post because our modem broke a few weeks ago and we went out of town and just now got it up and running again!
Jackson is very sad that Tucker and Kessler are going off to Kindergarten. He will miss getting to see one of his best buddies around school for sure!
These are his best buddies from his class.  Cole is his "best friend" (to the left of Jackson) and him and all his friends play super heros ALL the time he tells me :)
Jackson did fantastic for his performance, he was singing and dancing and it was perfect! I was very proud of him!!

Prayers

One of my best friends & her family needs your prayers.  Ashley's Mom is in the CCU and not doing very well.  Mrs. Greaver was very much like a 2nd Mom to all of us growing up.  My Mom always jokes around and tells the story of when people used to call me in high school and ask where I was she would say, "I don't know, try Greaver's house".  We were all over there at least 3-7 times a week...seriously...almost everyday. She is a young 64 and needs all the prayers she can get.  Please pray for Ashley & Tom, Aaron, and Mr. Greaver as well...they face a long road ahead no matter what the outcome.

Ashley,
I love you more than words can express and we are all thinking and praying for you non-stop.
Love,
Chellbell

Pollen...

This is one of our favorite times of the year.  John and I have enjoyed watching the leaves come in for the last 8 yrs.  It's only 2nd to the fall in our neighborhood.  And every year we promise to take pictures of how beautiful Mother Nature is and we FINALLY remembered this year!!  It happens in about a 2 week period and the leaves really do seem to appear in the blink of an eye!  If you look across the lake you can see our neighbors house just disappear through the leaves :) So while everyone hates pollen, I don't seem to mind it much.  We (especially John) LOVE trees!

Spring Break

We hung out with the Kunkel's on spring break this week and had a blast!  We took the kids to Rome, GA for a Braves baseball game.  For those that are from Philly reading this, its a minor league team.  This was both kids first baseball game ever.  Lets just say that Jackson had a fit when I told him it was time to leave and we had won after 9 innings.  They LOVED it!

Oh, and I potty trained Bailey this week.  Yep, I am crazy and on her 2nd day took her downtown to the Center for Puppetry Arts for a show and then to a baseball game on her 3rd day! hahaha.  Short story is that she has been BEGGING me to sit on the potty constantly and I figured this might fade out so I just better go ahead and bite the bullet.  Sure enough, by the 3rd day...no accidents and only 4 between the 1st & 2nd day.  It was RIDICULOUSLY easy.  Praise God that he gave me a break on her b/c he knows what I am still dealing with with Jackson!  I would never have done it if she hadn't begged me to.  I am just glad it's all done and am very proud of her!
She had a few meltdowns, nothing a lolly pop didn't solve ;)  I think I got an amazing workout b/c I went up and down the steps a million times b/c she had to go potty :)

It was HOT!  We all were sweating like crazy (no one as much as Jackson of course!)
And below was my only pic from the Center of Puppetry Arts.  I HIGHLY recommend it if you have never been.  We all had a blast (besides spending 1/2 the time in the bathroom with Bailey!). What a fun day!

Field Trip!

Jackson had his first field trip with school and it was to Brusters.  I was a driver and chaperon, funny b/c it was really walking distance from his school! Of course it was awesome and actually interesting to us adults too.  It was cool to watch them make ice cream and let me tell you...it was FABULOUS testing the fresh batch :)
