Boo Boo :(

Our poor little man had his first (of many to come I am sure) real big boo boo. We went on our walk he fell asleep in the stroller. I woke him up and showed him the playground and he immediately wanted down and ran towards it. He didn't even make it all the way to the playground and fell head first onto the step. It got huge (about an inch out) almost instantly and so like any first-time mom would do I freaked out and called the Dr. while putting him directly into the car. Thankfully the park is right next to our Dr.'s office and they saw him right away. They said we could either take him somewhere to get stitches or just get Dermabond put on the cut. They said he was a great candidate for the Dermabond and it was much less painful so we went with that ;) He screamed for 10min while they were doing it and it took 3 of us to hold him down and the nurse to put it on :( Afterwards he was smiling and playing like normal and they said we can expect 2 black-eyes, but that was it! He is one tough little dude!

High Five!

We met Jessi for lunch the other day and she taught Jackson how to high-five! And he did it non-stop the rest of the day :)

Diddy played with him a whole bunch outside and Jackson loved it!!

We had many things to be thankful for this year. Mainly our health, our family/friends, and the love we share for each other. Hope you all had a great time with your family too!

Walking

He has decided that walking is better than crawling! It took about a month after his first step to get to that point :) He walks all around the house now, it's so fun to watch! Here are a few other things he is doing...

~he is OBSESSED with John right now! He freaks out when he leaves or puts him down!
~he loves to show you where the fan is!
~he shakes his head "no" ALL the time :) At least most of the time he is just doing it for fun :)
~diced ham, yogurt, and raisins are his favorite foods right now
~he knows to hold a phone up to his ear, especially the toy one Amy gave him
~he uses my hair brushes and brushes his hair (he learned that by just watching me I guess, I didn't teach him that one ;)...it's really cute!
~he could spend the entire day outside, especially at the park
~he can't get enough of playing in the car with John, he lets him steer and play with all the buttons! (and don't worry grandparents...no keys in the ignition!)
~he has decided to wave bye, bye again (he has not done that in a while)
~he is doing great on Milk in his sippy cup, we went cold turkey on his birthday and he has done great ever since! It has been awesome not dealing with bottles or formula for the past month and a half!

walking at the playground :)
As you can see I had a little catching up to do! One of the hard drives on my computer was old and just died, so we had to wait until we got a new one to start uploading pics again! As you can see Jackson helped John fix it ;) A lot has been going on lately. Our new favorite thing to do is go to the park. The weather has been so great and we are trying to take full advantage of it! Jackson is walking more and more everyday. He definitely still crawls more than walks, but he is getting there! He got his first cold this week and is finally starting to get over it, I have had it as well! John and I celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary this past weekend and Nana and Opa stayed over to babysit Jackson. We felt terrible that he ending up starting his cold that day, but he was lucky he had such loving grandparents that took great care of him~thanks again!! Jackson is also starting to point to things and he uses his entire hand to do so...it's really cute!
