10 Months

So many things have changed this month! Here are a few of them...he shakes his head "no" when he doesn't want me to do something, he is crawling great now!, he pulls up on everything in site, he feeds himself his bottle, he takes steps when we hold him by the hands,and he now needs downtime before going to bed. It seems like this month he has changed so much so fast! We also went to see the Neurologist this week and he was so happy with his progress. He said maybe 1 or 2 more months and he should be good! Needless to say,this has been a wonderful month!

Helmet Update

We went to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta today and Jackson got another scan done on his head & some more foam shaved out of his helmet to allow more growth in the correct direction. We have GREAT NEWS! His head is really responding to the treatment. John and I have noticed a big change, but I think we just needed to hear it from the experts.

It's a little hard to explain, but hear it goes...The ratio they were most concerned about was the difference between ear to ear vs forehead to the back of the head. Meaning his head was more wide then long. That ratio was at a 1.009. It is now at a .949! To give you some perspective "normal" is under .92. So he is doing so well!! Much faster than expected.

Even more exciting is that all of this happened with very little growth, so he said he will probably have a growth spurt here soon and we will have even more results. The "slant & bump" have improved greatly too. Needless to say, it was a very good day :)

First attempts at crawling

This is right after I saw him crawling for the first time! Of course they never do it as good for the camera, but we are just so excited he is doing it on all fours now. He still loves the trusty "army crawl" or as my mom calls it "sniping" :) He does the best at the very end, too bad he was hungry and not in the mood to impress me or the camera ;)

4th of July!

I mean, how cute was that?!?!?

We had such a fun time in Auburn for the 4th! All the kids, including Jackson did very well watching the fireworks (not to mention they were all up way past their bedtime!) Thanks again for treating us to such a great weekend everyone!

9 months old!

Weight: 20lbs (50th %ile)

Height: 18 3/4 inches (75th %ile)

Wow, I can't believe it has been 9 months already! He is doing so much more all the time! He just started getting up on all 4's and he does it constantly now! He can also get to a seated position by himself too! He is only drinking 3 (6 oz) bottles a day and loves his baby food! He does not seem to thrilled with that much people food~just depends on what it is :) We did find out that he loves pancakes! We had to move his crib down to the last slot b/c I found him sitting up playing with the video monitor and giant stuffed lamb from off the shelf above! He gives a smile to just about everyone he sees when we are out and still does not mind his helmet. We are so lucky he has done so well with it!

Visit to Grandma and Grandpa's!

We spent a lot of last week at Grandma's and Grandpa's because John was sick! They were so sweet and helpful! He also slept really good!We had a lot of fun visiting and were so sad to leave! As you can see Jackson is starting to pull on jewelery!

Grace came to visit too!

We had such a great time in Memphis. Jackson did very well in the car both ways. We got to go see Graceland~on what must have been the hottest day of the year! But, Jackson did very well and was such a good boy. Then all of my Dad and Maureen's friends came over to meet him. They have such a wonderful and caring group of friends and made him feel so special!
