Snow Mountain

For the last couple years Stone Mountain has had an attraction called Snow Mountain and you basically play in the snow and slide down the entire lawn in front of the mountain!  It was worth the $$ and the kids LOVED it!  They were at the perfect age.  Luckily Jackson was tall enough to ride everything and Bailey was tall enough to ride the family tube down the mountain.  We were EXTREMELY bundled up b/c it was in the 30's that day and it was well worth all the hassle of getting it all together.  I didn't have a single complaint about being cold from either kids...and I actually was warm enough too which is a miracle!

Here is the Ballard clan standing in front of the mountain...what a cool shot.

Jackson rode everything, which was a HUGE shock to me!!!  Seriously!  He is afraid of his own shadow and wait until you see what he rode by himself! ha!

Bailey said a big fat "NO" to the little slides in the snow play area.  She wanted no part in them.  Jackson LOVED them!

At least everyone is smiling in this one ;)

Hugging her snowman.  Precious!

Of course he is making snow angels!

The view from up top!

Ok, here is what you see when your about to go down in the family tube.  You can't really tell from the picture, but that is a STRAIT drop right off the bat!  Pretty scary stuff even for an adult.  The kids LOVED it and Bailey kept asking to go again ;)

And here is the view from the bottom.  To the left is the single tube slides.  And Jackson went on that all BY HIMSELF!!  I was completely shocked and think that is crazy!  He apparently loved it too! ha!

And no, Amy and I are not pregnant, we just have supplies for 5 children in our pockets! HA!

By the end Bailey had enough and just wanted to lay with me in the snow! Both kids did great and I was very proud of them for hanging in the snow for 3 hours :)

More Christmas pics...

Better late than never! ha!  Here are the pictures from The Ballard's Christmas.  Can't believe it's almost March.  I am really excited for the idea of warmer weather.  Thankfully the kids do play well together-most of the time-and being inside isn't too bad. They play the sweetest games and when it's good...its really good.  I could just listen to them play all day.  They think up the funniest games and truly enjoy one another.  Even Cooper is in the mix.  He is usually playing right along with them, well...or being chased ;)  But, I couldn't image not having those few days where its in the 60's & 50's to get outside.  I don't think I could make it living up north ;)

Em is due any day now!!!  Can't wait to meet their little man (still no name yet!).

Imagine-It Children's Museum

My Mom and I took the kids to the Imagine-It Children's Museum downtown on Tuesday and then Chick-fil-a for lunch.  We had SO much fun!  They are growing so fast :)  Winter is the best time to go b/c it's just so hard to get them super tired without playing outside.

Before and After...

I have been on a sewing kick while I was sick and made a few things :) That skirt is the first thing I made for myself (besides altering or hemming stuff). Hope my sewing bug stays b/c I have a bunch of things I want to make :)

Memphis

I took the kids to see Nana and Opa in Memphis last weekend. It was a whirlwind to say the least. Bailey ran a fever (of course) the night before we left. She woke up fine, so we stuck with our plan. We didn't even make it to there house and had to stop at an urgent care in Memphis. She sounded horrible and this progressively got worse as the trip wore on. We got her some meds and she is much better now :) of course I got sick too, but not as bad as she was. Glad to be all on the mend! We still had a great time, even though we were cooped up bc Bailey was sick. These are all the pics I got bc of course I forgot my camera :(
