Movie Recommendation

One of John's friends and co-workers sent a movie home with John for us to watch and I just thought I would recommend it!  It is called Courageous and here is the link to see a clip on you-tube,  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i9VT_NBIVfs .   You will definitely need a box of tissues, but it is so worth it! It's one of those life changing~feel good movies and we really liked it and it was a great way to spend Valentine's night :)

Happy Valentines Day!

Here are some pictures I took for John for Valentine's Day.  John and I went out on a date last Saturday night and a big thanks to Mrs. Moe and Dad who gave us a gift card to Outback :)  Our very favorite place!
I am very picky about my pictures, and while I will always love them b/c they are of the kids...They both had runny noses and it was basically the coldest day of the year! I think it was below freezing that day, but they were both troopers all things considered!
This year with Amy's advice I had Jackson help me with his Valentine's for his class and we had A BLAST!  They turned out pretty cute (thanks to pinterest) and it's hard to think of what to give b/c he has a peanut allergy classmate.  He was SO excited to tell me all about it when he got in the car today :)

Amy's Calzone Recipe

If you are like me, then you hate cooking dinner and more than that...you hate figuring out what you are going to eat!  Well, my sister-in-law Amy told me about this super easy and yummy recipe for a calzone and I thought I would share!  It take me less than 10 min. to get this ready and I LOVE that about it!
 List of things to buy:
~Pillsbury Simply French Bread
~ Mozzarella cheese (I use 2 cups, but use whatever you feel like!)
~Oregano or Italian seasoning
~Olive Oil
~Any toppings you like!  This time I used pepperoni, diced ham, and jalapeno's on John's side :) Other ideas are mushrooms, sausage, fresh spinach, peppers, any lunch meat you may have, onions, whatever!  This is also great to cut into thin pieces and serve as an appetizer at a party! Thanks again Amy for sharing!!
~Something to dip your calzone into like ranch or spaghetti sauce!

How to make your Calzone:
1. Put foil down on a cookie sheet and rub olive oil all over the foil.
2. Unroll the French Bread by following the seam and unraveling it. Tip: Roll it out in the air...it doesn't do too well if you do it on the pan.  It ends up being a big thin rectangle the size of your cookie sheet.
2. Put your ingredients on the one side closest to you (much like they do at Subway). Make sure to put your cheese down first and last-or top and bottom :)  Put all your ingredients in between the cheese. Then sprinkle on your oregano or Italian seasoning.
3. Fold the top of the bread over the bottom (again, like they would at Subway!).
4.Then follow the intructions for baking the bread that are on the package and your done!
Here is what it looks like on the pan...mmmmmm.
And here is what it looks like on my plate! ha!

What I have been up to!

Crafting, Crafting, and Cooking is what I have been up to ;)  My Mom and I had a shower for my best friend Allie and I just wanted it to be really special :)  Here are some pics below.

One of my other best friends, Jessi made these cookies (and she wasn't even at the shower...she just did it b/c that is how sweet she is!!!) Are they not sooo cute?!?!
I made the "H" and the picture frame :)  I also made the initials picture below. If you want to know how I did any of this, look on my Pinterest...I just embellished some on my own!
Hot chocolate bar!!
I had people self address an envelope so Allie would have it all ready to do her thank yous :)
I made this banner & the frame below too :) I had Hobby Lobby cut a mat out the way I wanted to do the frame. They did a great job on it.
She got a LOT of beautiful things!  Including the hanger I made her below ;)  A special thanks to Katie Collett who told me how to do it & for John for drilling the holes!!
And here is everyone! Thanks to all of you who drove all the way out to my house to celebrate Allison, I know it meant the world to her :)

Family Pics

Not sure if you remember me talking about our church pictures we had taken, but here they are!  Can you believe that BOTH kids are smiling at the same time...its a miracle!  I am not the biggest fan or taking portraits inside, but I will be obsessed with them if we are all smiling :)

Mimi and Diddy visit

Mimi and Diddy came over 2 weekends ago (I am behind) for a visit and we took advantage of our new fire pit again!  It was MUCH easier with 2 extra sets of hands :)  We LOVE having visitors and can't wait to do this more often!
